Parking in Cádiz costs between €1 per hour (blue zone) on certain streets and €2.50 per hour in the underground parking garages in the “casco antiguo” (Interparking). Our tip: Park your car near the outdoor parking lots at the train station as soon as you arrive— the “casco antiguo” is best explored on foot.
Just to help you find your way around: the parking spaces on the streets are marked in three colors. Here’s an overview.
Where can I find free parking in Cadiz?
There are two Cadizes: the historic center, “Casco Antiguo,” and the new city “Puerta de Tierra” through which you enter from the 1812 Constitution Bridge when coming from Seville.
“Old Town”
In Cádiz’s Old Town, there’s only one place left to park for free: at the tip of Punta San Felipe, near the harbor. Your GPS will guide you there. Spots are scarce, but it’s worth a try.
📍A tip: drop off your luggage before heading there—it’s a good 20-minute walk to the center of the Old Town. On the way, stop by Calachica, the perfect spot to relax, have a drink at sunset, or grab dinner.
“Puerta de Tierra,” at the edge of the Old Town.
Free parking becomes scarce in summer.
Free street parking is still available at the following locations:
⏩Avenida de Andalucía, the main thoroughfare that runs through nearly half of the new city.
⏩Avenida Juan Carlos I.
⏩The Bahía Blanca neighborhood , except for Calle de Acacias
⏩And the streets in the following neighborhoods: San Severiano, Barriada de la Paz, Loreto, Puntales, La Laguna.
⏩Finally, the streets behind the “Ciudad de Cádiz” sports complex are also open for free parking around Avenida Periodista Beatriz Cienfuegos.
🚌 The new city is very well served by buses to Plaza España in the Old Town. Take a ride on lines 1 or 5 (for a detour via El Corte Inglés, the shopping center).
👛The fare is €1.10.
🚨Please note: the driver only accepts cash in amounts of 5 euros or less. Don’t count on him to give you change for a 50-euro bill.

Are you over the time limit and have a fine on your windscreen?
Rest assured, it's not the prohibitive price of major French cities. 10 euros maximum in my (bad) memory. Take the fine, go to the parking meter, enter the fine number on the meter's keypad, pay and leave, keeping the receipt!
Pay car parks
There are many underground parking garages available. They are secure and equipped with electric charging stations.
👛Daily rate: €25.95
📍The most central one: Interparking San Antonio
By downloading the INTERPARKING app, you can book daily passes at a discounted rate by entering your license plate number. Keep that in mind.
The gate will open and close automatically. It’s like magic—no more worrying about where you put your parking ticket 😉
🚨 If you’re renting a car, be sure to clear the license plate data when you’re done parking; otherwise, the next renter will thank you for their free parking—paid for by you 😉 The Las Guiritanas tested this for you—don’t try this at home!
➽ How about we put together your Cadix?😉
