LAS GUIRITANAS

(adj. and n. f.): An affectionate neologism, a blend of the Spanish words “guiri”(tourist or foreigner) and “gaditana” (woman from Cádiz).
A nickname given by José Tóma, a man from Cádiz whom I met at Esperanza and Javi’s coworking space, my first place for learning about the local culture.
